A plywood construction blocked the top part of a window allowing only a fraction of the outside to be seen through a narrow slit. The room was pitch-black and this thin line of landscape was all that could be seen. As the viewer moved around the room a different segment of the landscape became visible. The landscape could thus be scanned by walking in the room.
