Kunstgriff

Schwerin Staatliches Museum, Schwerin, 2006

A plywood tunnel extending into one of the galleries of a museum displaying 17th century paintings. The tunnel had two eyepieces that framed details of the paintings. Going around one could enter the gallery and see the painting to which the details belonged in its totality (Hermann van Aldewereld’s Allegory of the Five Senses) as well as the outside of the tunnel and the eyepieces.
